The Nepse Share Calculator is a web-based tool designed to assist users in calculating various financial aspects related to buying and selling shares in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). It provides two main features: the Buy Calculator and the Sell Calculator.

Buy Calculator: The Buy Calculator helps users estimate the total cost involved in purchasing shares. It requires the user to input the quantity of shares to be purchased and the purchase rate per share. Upon clicking the “Calculate” button, the calculator computes the following:

  1. Total Amount: The total cost of purchasing the shares, calculated by multiplying the quantity of shares by the purchase rate per share.
  2. Commission: The brokerage commission charged for the transaction, typically a percentage of the total transaction amount.
  3. SEBON Fee: The fee imposed by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for share transactions.
  4. DP Charge: The Depository Participant (DP) charge for maintaining the shares in electronic form.
  5. Total Amount Payable: The total amount payable by the user, including the total amount, commission, SEBON fee, and DP charge.
  6. Cost Price Per Share: The cost price per share, calculated by dividing the total amount by the quantity of shares.

Sell Calculator: The Sell Calculator helps users estimate the total amount receivable and potential profit or loss from selling shares. It requires the user to input the quantity of shares to be sold, the purchase rate per share, the selling rate per share, investor type (Individual or Institutional), and the holding period. Upon clicking the “Calculate” button, the calculator computes the following:

  1. Total Amount: The total amount receivable from selling the shares, calculated by multiplying the quantity of shares by the selling rate per share.
  5. Capital Gain Tax: The tax applied on the capital gain from selling shares, based on the investor type (Individual or Institutional) and holding period.
  6. Total Amount Receivable: The total amount receivable by the user after deducting commission, SEBON fee, DP charge, and capital gain tax from the total amount.
  7. Profit/Loss: The net profit or loss from selling the shares, calculated by subtracting the purchase cost from the total amount receivable.

The Nepse Share Calculator provides users with valuable insights into the financial implications of buying and selling shares in the NEPSE, helping them make informed investment decisions.
